There are so many ways to travel that I (Ted of The Travel Room) could probably write a book on travel planning alone (mental note... thatís a thought!). Since there are so places to go and so many ways you can travel, finding the information and planning how you want to travel and where to stay can be difficult, so here to help. Here, we compile all the information we have discovered about how to travel from A to B, and how to find where to stay when you get there. The majority of which we have discovered personally by travelling the routes and modes of transport ourselves.
If your looking for a particular mode of transport, then check out the guides by transport mode in the menu on the left but if your looking for information on a particular place, then you can find guides listed by country or continent on the right. If you want inspiration on a more unique method of transport, have a look around, and maybe you will be inspired to take the road least travelled rather than the economy flight.
Nothing we do here at The Travel Room is all encompassing, that would be both presumptuous and preposterous! We firmly believe that there isnít a right or wrong way to do anything when travelling, just a cheaper or more adventurous method. If the only way you are ever going to get out and see the world is on a first class all inclusive tour, then itís better that you saw some of the world and got an understanding of something strange and different, than spent your entire life working in a cubicle from 8 - 6, never taking the chance that could have changed your entire life. If you didnít already know, this life isnít a rehearsal people (unless youíre a Buddhist and then it is and what you do in this life will decide if you go up or down the food chain in the next... so get out there, experience the world, and make a difference).
We will continue to add travel planning information as we find a better or cheaper ways travelling, and without fear or favour we will tell you exactly what our experience has been and whether or not you will still have the will to live at the end of it!
We would also love you to tell us about your experiences too, so we can all benefit from each other. We hope you'll include your name so we can tell everyone who it is they can thank for the good information. We will also add you to The Travel Room mailing list (unless you ask us not to) and send you The Travel Room newsletter once a month to keep you up to date with all The Travel Room news. You will be able to unsubscribe at any time just by emailing us, and we promise not to pass on your details to anyone else.
We value every contribution from our readers and travellers out there, please tell us about your recent travelling experience using our comments form.
