We here at the travel room have taken many trains in our travelling adventures. In fact if its a choice between a bus and a train then we will usually opt for the train. Why? A train is often quicker (but not always), it is often a smoother ride (again this is not always!) and you have the freedom to get up and walk around keeping the blood pumping to your extremities. Also in most cases there will be a train toilet should you be in the need of the facilities and you won't have to wonder whether or not the bus driver has decided to lock it because he doesn't want to have to clean it at the end of the trip.
Train travel can vary greatly between continents and countries so we will endeavour to populate this train section with the knowledge we have gained from those continents and countries we have so far visited and travelled by train. As we use the train networks of new places we visit we will come back and add pages as we go. If you have knowledge or information about trains that you'd like to share with everyone else, please use the comments form below and we'll post it here for the benefit of all your fellow adventurers.
