The Travel Room - Travel Advice Home
No-one knows everything, no-one knows that more than The Travel Room. God knows we have had made our fair share of travel mistakes; how are you to know that Jamaica isn't the island paradise you've been lead to believe, or that there are hotels out there with the same name as major chains but certainly don't live up to their name unless you've been warned beforehand. We've turned up hotels and been charged 3 times what we thought we should have been and had our hotel room robbed in Egypt (and been silly enough not to check all our personal belongings after we caught the desk porter coming back from the direction of our room) because again we were not looking for it. Or take the time we decided to take the slow train because tickets for the slow train in Japan were 100 times cheaper than the fast train not realising that the 1 hour fast train trip then became a 14 hour epic journey.
