The Travel Room's Guide to Where to Stay
The standard of accomodation and hotels can be very different depending on where you are, what your budget is, what your personal required luxury level is and where you book! Over the years and the 50 some countries The Travel Room has visited, we have had many varied experiences with hotels and accommodation. From dirt cheap gems to disappointing "luxury" hotels we have been there and done that! We have found that there are some great deals out there, but there is not just one hotel booking or search engine for every holiday. The right place to look for a hotel is very dependent on where your going, different sites have better or worse deals for some countries or even cities. It will depend alot on your budget, we prefer the lower end good value establishments and there are certain places to look for good value deals, but if your willing to pay a little more, or your travelling for a treat then you will be looking for your place to stay somewhere very different.
So firstly we hope to provide reviews of a number of different places to book your accommodation, and include reviews based on our experience of where it might be best to look first given where your going, your type of travel and your personal preferences.
Secondly we'd like to offer you reviews of the hotels that stand out the most to us, whether it be that they stick out in our minds as outstanding value or an appalling rip off. And we'd like to encourage you to do the same so that we can all benefit from each others experience.
Of course, none of us know everything and not all of us has been everywhere and no-one does or has so we will be including your own recommendations and comments should you wish to contribute so that we all can find that perfect place to sleep, and be well-rested for another day of new experiences and adventure.
